"The head of state learned the tragic news about the deadly blast with deep sorrow," the statement of the press service of the Kazakh leader said.
Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani has condemned the "cowardly" truck bomb attack that ripped through the heart of Kabul's diplomatic district. The powerful explosion on Wednesday was described by officials as "one of the biggest" to have hit the Afghan capital.
The explosives were hidden in a tanker truck used to clean out septic systems, Najib Danish, deputy spokesman for the interior minister, said.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
