AKIPRESS.COM - An angered mob captured a 33-year-old man accused of attempted rape of a 10-year-old girl in Ak-Ordo village near Bishkek, police told AKIpress.

Lynching of the man was caught on camera and videotape went viral among the Kyrgyz internet community.

The incident took place on April 3. The locals called the police in reporting an attempted rape of an underage girl by a man the locals caught themselves prior to authorities' arrival.

Police officer who arrived at the scene found the suspect tied and took a knife away form him.

A criminal case was launched under the Article 28-129 (attempted rape) of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.

All the materials have been collected and forwarded to the court on June 2.

The suspect, a resident of Jalal-Abad, was taken into custody.
