Ashgabat hosts Turkmen-Hungarian political consultations

AKIPRESS.COM - Ashgabat hosted political consultations between Turkmenistan and Hungaryon June 15, the Turkmen foreign ministry reproted.

The Hungarian delegation was led by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Mr. Istvan Mikola.

The agenda of the consultations included issues of political-diplomatic, trade-economic relations and cooperation in cultural-humanitarian areas.

The parties noted high level political and diplomatic cooperation and discussed the possibilities for further expanding interaction in these fields. In this context, the role of visits at high levels and commitments of the Parties to further implementation of reached agreements was stressed. To intensify the interaction between the two countries, the Turkmen side expressed interest in intensifying the inter-parliamentary dialogue between Turkmenistan and Hungary.

Speaking about the interest of the Hungarian companies in making investment to Turkmenistan, Mr. Mikola expressed hope for further expansion of cooperation in the economic sector. The Sides discussed the possibilities of bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, education and sports. Particular attention was paid to the development of relationship in the field of health. Discussing the possibilities of professional and scientific exchange, the Sides interested in the fields of agrarian industry and water management.

The sides expressed satisfaction with the current cooperation between the two countries and stressed the importance of regular meetings at various levels for further deepening of mutually beneficial relations.
