AKIPRESS.COM - The Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan said the 5th meeting on Syria will be held in Astana on July 4-5.
The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed this date for the next meeting on the Syrian settlement in Astana.
Additionally, Geneva talks on Syria following the Astana meeting will take place on July 10, the the office of UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura confirmed.
The 5th round of talks will focus on documents regulating the parameters of the de-escalation zones and unfettered humanitarian access and rebuilding of infrastructure.
The latest round of Astana talks held in May resulted in an agreement to create four de-escalation zones in Syria, Sputnik reported. The monitoring and management of the safe zones is carried out by military personnel from the ceasefire guarantor states, namely, Russia, Turkey and Iran.
