Mongolia's average life expectancy up to 69.57 years

AKIPRESS.COM - Average life expectancy at birth in Mongolia increased to 69.57 years, the annual report of Health Indicators 2016 by Mongolian Center for Health Development said on June 21, reports Xinhua.

Currently, average life expectancy is 75.1 years for women and 65.58 years for men, it said.

According to the report, by the end of the 2016, the population of the landlocked country stood at 3.1199 million, of which 68.9 percent lived in urban areas.

In 2016, 77,803 Mongolian women gave birth to 78,194 babies. Among them, 1681 were twins and 27 were triplets.

The annual report also covered health indicators of Mongolian Millennium Development Goals, main health indicators by types of health care services, leading causes of population morbidity and mortality by region and health programs implemented nationwide.
