AKIPRESS.COM - The south coast of Issyk-Kul differs from the north coast by its unique style and coloring. Guests here are offered to spend time in ethnic style atmosphere. Hosts can show them various types of national games, historical sites, organize horse riding and overnight accommodation in Kyrgyz yurts.
Beach season on the south coast starts one week later than on the north coast. However, there are already tourists from Europe and Asia.
“Me and my friends have been to many Central Asian countries. This time we choose Kyrgyzstan, Issyk-Kul region. We departed from Bishkek and traveled through north coast of Issyk-Kul to Karakol and decided to go back by the south coast of the lake. We spent every our night in different places. If to compare two coasts, I can say that the north part is more developed and full of resorts and hotels, while here, on the south coast, one can admire the nature and blue lake. Many things on the south part are untouched, and that is what interests and attracts us. We believe Issyk-Kul is a place that you can visit second, third and forth time again,” tourist from Latvia says.
Meanwhile, local residents are developing the ethnic tourism to the extent possible. They offer Kyrgyz yurts, national souvenirs and food at the beaches on the south coast of Issyk-Kul.
