Turkey imposes travel ban on nearly 2000 Kazakhstanis

AKIPRESS.COM - Turkey has imposed travel ban on nearly 54,000 foreign citizens from 146 countries of the world, including Kazakhstan, over their links to terrorist organizations, according to the Turkish Interior Ministry's report on the fight against Daesh terrorist group (known as Islamic State).

1,914 citizens of Kazakhstan were in the Turkish black-list, which also denies entry to Turkey for citizens of Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Russia, Morocco, Tajikistan, France, Iraq, Azerbaijan and Belgium.

"53,781 citizens from 146 countries are banned from entering Turkey because of links to the terrorists and possible entry to the conflict zones," the report reads.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey explains that the list includes those states whose citizens are suspected of affiliating with terrorist organizations and traveling to the Syria hostility zones. These countries include Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, France, Russia and Belgium.
