Mongolian, Japanese scientists agree to coopere on dinousaur studies

AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian Academy of Sciences will collaborate with the Japanese Okayama University of Science (OUS) in dinosaur studies, the state news agency reported.

A memorandum of mutual understanding on cooperation was signed Tuesday by Kh.Tsogtbaatar, the director of the Paleontology and Geology Institute at the Academy of Sciences; and Yasunobu Yanagisawa, the OUS president.

The Paleontology and Geology Institute has been conducting a research themed “Ancient ecosystem of Mongolian Gobi Desert” since 1992 in collaboration with the scientific organization of Okayama city. Within the research works, Mongolian and Japanese scholars have discovered out many interesting findings in Gobi desert, which significantly contributed to the science of paleontology, Montsame reported.

Widening the collaboration, the sides will co-implement a project on international studies of dinosaur findings for next four years.
