AKIPRESS.COM - Over the last nine years, as part of the project on “Implementation of precautionary and preventive anti-drug events”, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe together with Tajikistan’s law enforcement agencies has carried out an awareness raising campaign on drug prevention in all the regions and districts of Tajikistan, the OSCE said.

This year, with the financial support of the OSCE Programme Office in Tajikistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan will conduct sports competitions on August 21-29 in the Istaravshan, Bobojon Gafurov, Isfara and Asht districts of Tajikistan. These competitions are dedicated to the official Year of Youth in Tajikistan and promote a healthy lifestyle through sports.

They are held under the slogan “Youth and Sports against Drug Addiction”. The Dinamo sports association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan is organizing the open sports competitions on draughts, chess, mini-football, volleyball and table-tennis in all the sports complexes of the mentioned districts. The best teams and participants will be awarded medals, cups and prizes. The Programme Office in Tajikistan prepared caps, T-shirts to be distributed during the event as well as banners and billboards with the OSCE and Ministry of Internal Affairs logos.
