Human rights training held in Dushanbe

AKIPRESS.COM - A four-day training retreat for civil society, social workers and lawyers working with ill-treatment victims concluded on August 30 in Bahoriston, Sughd region. A similar training was conducted in Nurek August 21-24, the OSCE reported.

The training courses, organized by the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, provided the participants with theoretical knowledge about psychological effects of torture and trauma consequences. A large part of the two four-day courses was devoted to developing practical skills, including how to protect oneself from secondary trauma.

The courses were delivered by experienced psychologists.
