AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan and Myanmar 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifier match has been canceled over terrorism threat.
Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov authorized the cancellation, the Football Federation of Kyrgyzstan said at a press conference on Monday.
The match was due to be held in Bishkek on September 5.
Head of Football Federation Semetei Sultanov told journalists that the number of tickets sold is being counted, all of them will be reimbursed.
"It is decided now whether the match will be postponed or a forfeit defeat will be assigned. The Football Federations of the two countries are deciding. The final decision will be made by the Asian Football Federation," Sultanov said.
So far, the option to hold the match not in a Muslim country, on a neutral territory is being looked, he added.
