EU mission arrives in Bishkek to provide technical advises on GSP+ requirements and EU trade facilitation systems

AKIPRESS.COM - A team of three experts on trade from Latvian governmental institutions has arrived in Bishkek with the aim to conduct a workshop addressing EU import and export standards on September 4-9, the EU Delegation reports.

The workshop will be conducted for the representatives of relevant state institutions, agencies and ministries.

The EU experts will focus the discussion on the accreditation system and laboratories, in accordance with international standards and ILAC guides, on GSP+ requirements, on import/export EU regulations on, and on quality assessment of local production.

The mission and the workshop are organized and funded by the Technical Assistance Information Exchange Instrument of the European Commission in co-operation with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Agriculture and the EU Delegation to Kyrgyzstan.

During the last week of September it will be conducted a second TAIEX funded mission on GSP+ requirements.
