AKIPRESS.COM - 5 Israelis that have been stuck for 4 days on a trek in western Mongolia have sent a rescue request, Israeli media report Tuesday.
The backpackers were expected to be rescued September 13, after their insurance company decided to send a special local rescue helicopter, the Jerusalem Online reported.
Although the backpackers started the trek in the region of Tavan Bogd several days ago, the weather and terrain conditions made it difficult to reach them.
2 other Israelis in their twenties were rescued after being stuck on the side of a mountain in Greece. The 2 lost their way due to heavy fog.
