AKIPRESS.COM - Chairman of the State Committee for Sports of Turkmenistan T. Komekov met September 19 with the Japanese delegation led by the President of the Organizing Committee for the preparation of the Summer Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, the head of the Parliamentary Association of the Japanese-Turkmen Friendship of the Parliament of Japan Mr Endo Toshiaki.

Mr Toshiaki arrived in Turkmenistan for the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games currently under way in Ashgabat, the Turkmen foreign ministry said.

The sides signed a Memorandum on Pre-games Training Camp between the State Committee for Sports of Turkmenistan and the Mayor of Tendo City of Japan, Shinji Yamamoto.

The signing ceremony was attended by the representatives of the delegation of Japan and the officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
