AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov witnessed the signing of five memorandums on cooperation between big industrial and energy companies of Uzbekistan and Tatarstan in Tashkent on September 26, Uzbek media report. 

During the meeting, the sides discussed expansion of trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan. Uzbekistan considers Tatarstan as an important partner in Russia, Aripov noted.

“We are interested in further strengthening of trade-economic, scientific-technical, cultural interaction. Your republic is one of the most economically developed regions of Russia. I hope that representatives of our business circles will find many interesting contacts,” Aripov said.

He said enterprises of Uzbekistan can expand supply of modern passenger cars to Tatarstan, a wide range of textile, tanning and footwear products, electrical and mechanical equipment, construction materials, food products.

Minnikhanov for his part thanked Abdulla Aripov for attention paid to development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan. He expressed hope that the visit of the delegation of Tatarstan will contribute to strengthening trade, economic and humanitarian ties.
