AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimukhamedov met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who arrived in Ashgabat on October 2, the Kremlin reports.
During the talks, the presidents discussed bilateral relations. Putin also awarded Order of Alexander Nevsky to Berdimukhamedov.

Then the consultations with the participation of the delegations took place.
Following the talks, the two presidents adopted a Joint Statement of the President of the Russian Federation and the President of Turkmenistan.
The sides also signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between Russia and Turkmenistan.
A package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental cooperation documents was also signed.
