Mirziyoyev, Head of Chechen Republic meet in Tashkent

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on October 16 received Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov, who arrived in Tashkent on working visit, UzA reported.

Welcoming the guest, the head of state stressed that the regular high-level meetings contributed to strengthening of the Uzbek-Russian relations.

The talks focused on further development of cooperation between the countries. Increasing the volume of a mutual trade and implementation of the economic and cultural spheres were touched upon the meeting.

Kadyrov thanked the Uzbek President for a warm reception and organization of the visit to Uzbekistan to visit the historical centers of Islam civilization.

The Chechen Republic's leader also praised the policy and international initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan in the sphere of international harmony and religious tolerance, as well as promotion of the real humanistic essence of Islam.

Wrapping up his speech, Kadyrov expressed his readiness to actively participate in development of the multifaceted ties between the two countries and invited Mirziyoyev to visit the Chechen Republic.
