AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov met in Astana on Wednesday with his Kazakh counterpart Bakytjan Sagintayev in narrow and expanded formats,
They discussed border issues, including transport, phytosanitary and veterinary control, customs and tax administration taking into account the rules and laws of the Eurasian Economic Union and the World Trade Organization.
Sagintayev pointed out "how President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has repeatedly noted that the relation between two brotherly states must be a role model in all fields and become an example of efficient and mutually beneficial cooperation in the region," the press service of the Kazakh President reported.
Isakov, for his part, said a massive delegation has arrived in Kazakhstan from Kyrgyzstan. "As prime minister of Kyrgyzstan, I am committed to constructive work," Isakov stressed.
Delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic led by Prime Minister Sapar Isakov is accompanied by First Deputy Prime Minister Tolkunbek Abdygulov, Minister of Foreign Affairs Erlan Abdyldayev, Minister of Finance Adylbek Kasymaliyev, Minister of Economy Artyom Novikov, Chairman of the State Customs Service Azamat Sulaimanov, Chairman of the State Tax Service Oktyabr Abdykaimov, Chairman of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes Zamirbek Osmonov, Chairman of the State Migration Service Medetbek Aidaraliyev, Deputy Chairman of the State Border Service K. Isakov, and others.
As a result of the talks, the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan agreed to provide priority order of crossing the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border for individuals with personal luggage, regular passenger buses, cars, empty cargo vehicles starting from 12 am October 19.
Additionally, they agreed on creation of a working group co-chaired by the first deputy prime ministers of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to prepare a joint "road-map" for bilateral economic relations.
