AKIPRESS.COM - Russia helps Kazakhstan cope with the current fuel crisis with deliveries of additional 100,000 tons of gasoline in Oct., said Deputy Energy Minister Kirill Molodtsov.
He said that Russia is helping with both jet fuel and motor gasoline. In October, Russia plans to deliver extra 100,000 tons of gasoline to Kazakhstan.
"We have current production surplus. We believe this is possible," Tass cited Molodstev as saying.
Fuel is supplied to Kazakhstan at market prices, he said.
"We offer on the basis of existing market offer. We do not have the notion of regulated prices. This is interaction at a commercial level for us," he added.
He said the situation in Kazakhstan is not critical and the country will be able to overcome fuel deficit.
