Ak-Jol checkpoint on Kyrgyz-Kazakh border in normal operation mode

AKIPRESS.COM - Ak-Jol checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border started working in a normal operation mode, AKIpress correspondent reports from place.

According to people there, the admission of people has accelerated starting from October 19 morning and no traffic jam like on October 18 is seen now.

According to drivers, individuals and transport wait about 30 minutes to cross the border.

State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan announced Thursday that the passing of passenger vehicles and individuals the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border has accelerated. "If 2 cars an hour were admitted into the territory of Kazakhstan until yesterday, then starting from 9:00 October 19, 5 cars an hour are passing the border. There are almost no traffic jams there," the press service said.

Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan agreed October 18 in Astana to provide a priority order of crossing the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border for individuals with personal luggage, regular passenger buses, cars, empty cargo vehicles starting from 12 am October 19.
