AKIPRESS.COM - Speaker of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Chynybai Tunsunbekov announced Tuesday his intention to step down, sources from the Parliament told AKIpress.

Sources say the names of candidates for the post are already known: leader of SDPK party Isa Omurkulov, Chairman of the  Parliament Committee for International Affairs, Defense, and Security Askarbek Shadiyev, and MP Dastan Jumabekov.

Speaker Tursunbekov intended to run for president, however later changed his mind.
