Trafficking 'Tears of Allah' heroin in juice bottles from Afghanistan to Canada through Kyrgyzstan foiled

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyz anti-drug police foiled drug trafficking channel from Afghanistan to Canada through the territory of Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek).

The perpetrators transported heroin in juice bottles, the Interior Ministry said in a statement on March 20.

Citizens of Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Canada were involved in the drug trafficking.

The suspects are accused of setting up a channel for smuggling of hard drugs made in Afghanistan. The highly-addictive liquid heroin which is called ''Tears of Allah'' was transported by trucks en route Djelalabad (Afghanistan) — Khujand (Tajikistan) — Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) in juice bottles.

The heroin was hidden in the plastic juice bottles allegedly produced in Kyrgyzstan and was smuggled to the city of Toronto (Canada).

On March 12, during the special anti-drug operation, the anti-drug police detained citizens of Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan. During the search of the apartment, they seized 8-liter plastic bottles of juice, which contained heroin.

Additionally, authorities seized plastic bottles with the inscription 'Kyrgyzstan honey' weighing 17,695 g.

The probe into drug trafficking was launched. Investigation is underway.
