AKIPRESS.COM - A police officer hit a schoolboy to death in Novopavlovka village outside Bishkek.

The accident occurred early in the morning on Jan 29. The 11-year-old boy died on the scene.

The driver of the Audi A6 was a 24-year-old police officer, the Chuy region police said.

The boy was crossing the road with his twin brother, teachers said.

Investigation is under way, the statement said.

The suspect was taken into custody, his car was impounded, the statement said.
