AKIPRESS.COM - Very good projects are needed for the Belt and Road Initiative to have return and economic effect, ADB President Takehiko Nakao said at the press conference today at the 52nd ADB Annual Meeting in Nadi, Fiji.

The ADB President reminded the Belt and Road Initiative is the idea of revival of ancient trade routes that will allow to connect China and East Asia with Europe via Central Asia.

The projects should be selected cautiously to avoid problems with return of money and external debt, the ADB President stressed.
