Sock factory opens in Jalal-Abad town

AKIPRESS.COM - A sock factory opened in Jalal-Abad town.

According to technologist Zaripa Satybaldiyeva, the factory buys cotton from Uzbekistan and other fabrics from China. The price for socks ranges from 20 to 120 soms depending on the fabric.

The factory started operation from July 1. During his working trip to the town, President Sooronbai Jeenbekov met with the locals. During the meeting, local entrepreneur Abdibaki Imanov asked the president for help support his SME.

After that, one of the commercial banks approved a $180,000-credit under 5% for 5 years for the businessman.

Today the sock factory produces 2000 pairs of socks a day. All products are sold to local markets.
