Nature reserves of Kyrgyzstan and Russia agreed on scientific cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM - The state nature reserve “Karatal-Japyryk” and Katun biosphere reserve of Russia signed an agreement on joint cooperation in science, said SAEPF.

The signing ceremony was held at the Gorno-Altaisk State University within the international research-to-practice conference, which gathered scientists and employees of the nature reserves of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bhutan, India, Switzerland and other regions of Russia.

The agreement is aimed at joint study, preservation and restoration of biological diversity, implementation of research programs and educational cooperation.

The agreement was signed in accordance with memorandum of understanding between SAEPF Kyrgyzstan and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Russia on cooperation in the sphere of environment preservation, signed in Cholpon-Ata town on Sept 27, 2014.
