Exports of meat and meat products decreased 9 times since year start

AKIPRESS.COM - The foreign trade turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic in January-April 2020 amounted to $1,753.9 million and decreased by 21.1%, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Exports increased by 2.7%, while imports decreased by 31.4%.

The increase in export supplies in January-April 2020 was due to the growth in gold exports by 32.8%, the share of which in the total volume of exports increased from 41.1 to 53.1 percentage points.

There was a 10.4-fold decrease in exports of chemicals and fibres, a 9-fold decrease in exports of meat and meat products, a 7.3-fold decrease in exports of fertilizers, a 7.2-fold decrease in exports of copper waste and scrap, and a 7.2-fold decrease in exports of aluminium waste and scrap.
