14 children die from school bus crash in Thailand

AKIPRESS.COM - Fourteen children and one teacher died on Friday as a result of school bus crush in central Thailand, the vehicle was hit by a truck and crashed into a tree according to police.

Fifty-five people were injured from the accident in Nadi district, Prachinburi province, said Lt. Siriwat Viengvitha, a police official. The injured have been taken to nearby hospitals, CNN reported.

The bus was carrying about 60 children, Siriwat said. The group of children were pupils of primary and high schools from the neighboring province of Nakhon Ratchasima province, authorities said.
