AKIPRESS.COM - The Ukrainian political activist, a member of UNA-UNSO (Ukrainian National Assembly – Ukrainian People's Self-Defense) and coordinator of Right Sector in Western Ukraine, Oleksandr Muzychko, also known under the nickname Sashko Bily, was killed.

Right Sector has confirmed his death.

Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oles Dony confirmed the information via his Facebook page.

Versions of what happened diverge.

“Two cars cut off his car, some people pulled him out. Then threw him to the ground – hands behind his back in handcuffs, two shots in the heart,” Dony wrote.

According to another version, the armed men brought Muzychko and his bodyguards from a local cafe and put into vans. Later, he was shot in the head.

In March, Oleksandr Muzychko was arrested in absentia in Russia on charges of torture of Russian soldiers during the first Chechen war in the mid 1990s.

Muzychko himself denied all allegations.
