AKIPRESS.COM - “The foreign policy of Kazakhstan is balanced and multi-vector, and the internal situation in the country is based on equality and respect for all citizens, regardless of language, religion and cultural background,” said President Nursultan Nazarbayev during the media briefing on the results of the summit on nuclear safety held in the Hague.

“The policy of Kazakhstan has been proofed to be on the right track by the practice,” said President stressing the need for peace, harmony, unity of the people in order for a state to develop.

Regarding the latest tensions between Russia and the western countries, Nazarbayev said that recently, “there are some dangerous precedents of violation of international laws,” and this leads to a rollback of the economies of the involved countries to a decade back.

Speaking on the crisis in Ukraine, Mr President said that the country should elect a legitimate president, parliament and government in order to stabilize the situation.

He again called the international community for peaceful resolution of crises.
