AKIPRESS.COM - Everyone in Europe will be proud of Azerbaijan's preparation and hosting of Baku 2015 First European Games, Trend reported citing the Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Minister, Azad Rakhimov, at the 77th Congress of the International Sport Press Association (AIPS) on April 28 in Baku.

He noticed that holding the congress prior to the First European Games plays an important role in terms of promoting Azerbaijan.

“We try to create a model of innovative games. This will not be just sports events. This will contribute to the construction of new sports facilities and arenas,” Rakhimov continued.

The minister also recommended the sports journalists to get acquainted with the tourist places of Baku as well as social and other spheres.

Over 250 delegations and observers from 110 countries have been registered for participation in the 77th Congress of the International Sport Press Association.

The congress will continue until May 1.
