AKIPRESS.COM - Turkmenistan has established a Center of Technology to support development and introduction of competitive, material and energy efficient, environmentally sound technologies and innovations, Turkmenistan.ru reports.

The Center is also aimed at strengthening the relationship of science with the branches of national economy.

President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov signed a relevant decree at a Government's meeting last week.

Thus, the establishment will be supervised by the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, which was instructed to develop and approve the regulations.

The Center of Technology is a complex of facilities erected in the south-west of Ashgabat. It will be inaugurated on June 12, Science Day. It will serve as the hub of research activities in various fields of science and technology.
