AKIPRESS.COM - The second Confucius Institute will be opened in Uzbekistan, according to a session of sub-committee of the Uzbek-Chinese intergovernmental committee on cooperation in Tashkent.
New Confucius Institute will be opened in Samarkand. The first Confucius Institute was launched in Tashkent in 2005.
The first Confucius Institute was opened on the base of Tashkent State Oriental Studies Institute at the assistance of Lanzhou University (China) in line with the agreement between Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan and Ministry of Education of China.
Currently, 400 people study at the Confucius Institute in Tashkent and learn Chinese language.
