Nazarbayev University to train specialists for Samruk-Kazyna

AKIPRESS.COM - 165451 (3) "Samruk-Kazyna" National Welfare Fund will support the establishment of the Center for Executive Education at Nazarbayev University, the activity of which will focus on the training of employees of the Fund with a further award of the degree, Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Umirzak Shukeyev said at a press conference on September 5.

"The center will provide corporate programs with open registration for employees of the Fund, with the following award of the degree. In this case for their further professional development graduate students of the University will do internship and employment with companies that are members of the Fund," he said.

At the same time, the center will also conduct research in the field of business. In addition, with the purpose of development of information and communication technologies the Fund will develop high-performance computing resources and support the implementation of educational programs of the Graduate School of Business of the University.

The center will be set up in the framework of the memorandum of cooperation signed today by Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Umirzak Shukeyev and rector of Nazarbayev University Shigeo Katsu. To implement this memorandum it is planned to develop a five-year roadmap. Steering Committee consisting of representatives of JSC "Samruk-Kazyna" and Nazarbayev University will monitor the implementation of the roadmap.

The memorandum aims to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation between Nazarbayev University and JSC "Samruk-Kazyna" in research, education and innovation. In particular, it is planned to jointly develop information and communication technologies and the Graduate School of Business of the University.

The document also provides for the creation of a corporate research center within Nazarbayev University, financed by Samruk-Kazyna, Shukeyev said.
