The court hearings of the case of former head of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan Nurlan Zhulamanov are set for January 26, 2015, Novosti-Kazakhstan reports citing judge Erbol Akhmetzhanov.
The trial will be held in specialized inter-district military court, Akhmetzhanov said.
Zhulamanov has been formally accused of bribery and organization of transnational criminal group. "The charges are brought against Zhulamanov on two Articles: 235 pt. 3 (organization of transnational criminal group) and 311 pt. 5 (bribery),” the authorities said.
The case of Zhulamanov is under the supervision of the Main Military Prosecutor's Office.
Nurlan Zhulamanov has served as Chief of the Air Defense Forces of the Land Forces of Kazakhstan, the Commander of the Land Forces of Kazakhstan, Deputy Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan.
On May 7, 2012 Zhulamanov was awarded the title of Lieutenant-General.
