U.S. donates $100,000 military tents to border forces of Tajikistan

AKIPRESS.COM - tents The U.S. Embassy’s Office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) donated military tents and a sport utility vehicle to the Border Forces Main Directorate of the State Committee on National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan.

This donation, which totaled approximately $100,000, is intended to improve the technical capacity of Tajikistan’s Border Forces in securing the borders of Tajikistan.

The U.S. Government is committed to supporting Tajikistan’s law enforcement and border security agencies and justice sector institutions. We will continue to collaborate with the Government of Tajikistan to ensure safety and security for all its citizens.

Since 1992, the American people have provided over $1 billion in programs and humanitarian aid that support Tajikistan’s democratic institutions, health care, education, security, and economic growth.
