OECD and UNDP experts noted achievements of Kazakhstan in civil service reforming

AKIPRESS.COM - According to experts of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the UNDP and the World Bank, Kazakhstan has become a recognized leader in Central Asia in the field of civil service reform, Chairman of the Governing Board of the regional hub in public service in Astana Alikhan Baimenov has said.

"Our country is implementing many initiatives in the field of civil service reforms. Kazakhstan is leader in our region. This was the reason for establishing regional hub in Astana. The hub includes 31 states and 5 international organizations. The experts from the OECD, the UNDP and the World Bank stressed that Kazakhstan has shown an example of a consistent, progressive reforms in the civil service, " A. Baimenov said on the sidelines of seminar tilted "Autonomy of the public service " which is held at Nazarbayev University in Astana.

He recalled that one of the priorities of the "Nation Plan - 100 concrete steps" is to create a professional and independent state apparatus.

Joint Seminar of the Astana regional hub in the field of public service is held in conjunction with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan with the support of the Nazarbayev University and the United Nations Development Programme.
