AKIPRESS.COM - The database of registered vehicles includes over 1 million cars, while taxes are collected just from 400,000 cars, State Registration Service Chairman Tairbek Sarpashev said at the annual discussion of the United Nations Development Programme's results on December 8.
“We will be able to eradicate corrupted practices only through computerization, integration of all systems into one database,” Mr. Sarpashev stated.
“We plan issuance of new car plates since March 2016. But this is not enough. Gradually, we will reach all systems and structures,” he suggested.
“Hopefully, this process will be completed and one database will be created. In near future, we will introduce a uniform standard, then we will have transparency and it will be easier to administer. I think we are close to this goal,” the Registration Service Chairman stressed.
