Mongolian national judo championship to kick off Jan 7

AKIPRESS.COM - judo Mongolian national judo championship 2016 will take place on January 7-10 in Erdenet city, Montsame state news agency reported Monday.

The organization is carried out by the Mongolia’s Judo Federation, the administration of Orkhon region, the Judo Federation of Orkhon region and the “Khangarid” club. 

The 2016 national championship coincides with the 40th anniversary of Orkhon aimag and the 20th anniversary of winning of the bronze medal by a Mongolian judoka D.Narmandakh at the Atlanta 1996 Olympics.

The tournament will run in the men’s weight categories up to 60 kg, 66 kg, 73 kg, 81 kg, 90 kg, 100 kg, and over 100 kg,  and women’s up to 48 kg, 52 kg, 57 kg, 63 kg, 70 kg, 78 kg, and over 78 kg.
