German arrested in Ulaanbaatar for attempt to smuggle dinosaur bones

AKIPRESS.COM - 6._700 German citizen by name Fabian Andy Deutsch was arrested by Mongolian police in mid-May for attempt to smuggle the dinosaur fossils of unknown origin, News.mn reports.

Having no any accompanying documentation, the man tried to carry out the bones by air, from Ulaanbaatar to Beijing.

The Senior State Inspector of the Ulaanbaatar Airport detected and confiscated five fossilized bones with total weigh of 3.65 kg.

The Paleontology and Geology Institute under the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia confirmed that fossils were dinosaur bones.

The case is under investigation.
