2.6 mln young sturgeon released in Ural river: Ministry

AKIPRESS.COM - fish Over 2.6 million sturgeon fries have been released in the Ural River from Atyrau and Ural sturgeon plants, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan said Monday.

900 thousand Russian sturgeon fries and 1.7 million stellate sturgeon fries were released in the river.

In the framework of the budget program titled "Management, conservation and development of forest resources and wildlife” the Enterprises of the Committee of Forestry and Fauna of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan annually grow 168.4 million young fish species.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, work on growing fries continues in accordance with the biotechnology cultivation of juvenile fish.
