Mongolia, Japan launch visa-free regime for diplomats

AKIPRESS.COM - Visa to Mongolia Mongolia and Japan have launched on 15 November 2016 a visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports, according to News.mn.

Mongolian diplomats can now stay in Japan without visa for up to 30 days. At the same time, they should carry official documentation with them during all time of stay.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia warned that "if [diplomats] use their passports for personal purposes, they could be denied entry."

Ordinary Mongolians are able to travel to Japan for 15 days without visa once every three years.
