AKIPRESS.COM - The World Bank is set to allocate US$250 thousand to Mongolia in grant funds, according to News.mn.
An energy representatives of the World Bank explained that the funds will be spent within the project to improve heating system and to decrease air pollution in the so-called 'ger districts' of Ulaanbaatar.
One of the main goals of Mongolia, according to the former Prime Minister Chimed Saikhanbileg, is to increase the use of gas and renewable energy sources in ger districts. 5 billion togrog ($2.1 million) have been budgeted for the governmental 2016 Air Pollution Reduction Fund.
