AKIPRESS.COM - A delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the 16th meeting of the Turkmenistan-EU Joint Committee under the Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the European Union and Turkmenistan in Brussels, reports Turkmenistan.ru.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues relating to trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union. In particular, the sides discussed the macroeconomic situation in Turkmenistan, constitutional and social reforms, implementation of technical projects and the EU programs in Turkmenistan, energy projects, prospects of diversification of gas supplies from Turkmenistan to Europe and other issues.

In conclusion, the sides agreed to hold the 17th meeting of the Turkmenistan-EU Joint Committee in Ashgabat in 2017.
