Turkmenistan set to boost Akhalteke horse breeding, set up national airline company

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired March 10 a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to review topical issues and draft a number of documents, the state news agency of Turkmenistan said. 

Hazyna Hotel belonging to the Central Bank of Turkmenistan was proposed to be restructured during the meeting along with the State Concern Turkmennebitgazgurlushik.

The Ministry of Energy said it has prepared a plan for training specialists for the combined heat and power plant with a capacity of 1574 MW currently under construction on the territory of Mary HPP.

The report on ongoing preparation for the creation of the Turkmenistan Airlines by the State Service Turkmenhovayollary, the International Airport of Ashgabat and the Main Air Service was made during the meeting. 

Measures to increase exports have been reported. It was noted that simplification of the procedure for registering contracts of private companies for export of goods will help expand the geography of country’s trade partnership.

Information was provided on the preparations for the exhibition and conference of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan dated March.

It was also reported that within the framework of the state program for creation of enterprises for production of electronic equipment, the Ministry of Industry is setting up organizations aimed at forming a network of innovative enterprises.

In order to organize the production of household appliances - gas and electric cookers, electric ovens, microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners - Hojalyk Harytlary economic society was established by Turkmenmashigurlushyk concern and entrepreneur A. Saparov, a member of the UIET.
Reports on preparations for the opening of the Dental Training and Production Center and the Scientific and Clinical Center for Ophthalmological Diseases at the State Medical University of Turkmenistan were mde.

Presentation of information about preparations for the celebrations dedicated to the results of the Year honoring our Heritage and transformation of the Motherland, to the events in honor of the National Spring Festival, as well as the preparations for the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in the State of Qatar on 10-14 March was made. 

Cabinet also reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work, care for winter wheat, preparation of lands for spring cotton sowing. The information was provided about preparations for the forthcoming national campaign on March 18th, during which large-scale landscaping will be carried out in the capital and regions.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on large-scale work on the popularization of Akhal-Teke horses, ordering to begin compiling a catalog of thoroughbred Akhal-Teke horses - a detailed register of the most prominent representatives of the elite of the world’s horse breeding, indicating their achievements, origin and other information. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave the task to prepare proposals for the opening of a research center or university to study, popularize and develop the breed.

Addressing the members of the Cabinet of Ministers, the leader of the nation noted that, as is known, recently, with the participation of the President of Uzbekistan, the opening of two bridges across Amu Darya River, which for its exuberant nature was called Jeyhun, was celebrated, noting the expediency of establishing the date of opening of these facilities as a Day of Transport Workers. The Head of State invited the chairman of Mejlis to submit a proposal for consideration at the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Other issues of state life have also been considered and relevant decisions taken in the course of the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
