AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov extended condolences to the King of Sweden Carl Gustaf over the terrorist attack in Stockholm.

Strongly condemning all acts of terrorism and extremism, Turkmenistan fully supports the efforts of the international community in fighting terrorism, the statement said.

On behalf of the people and the Government of Turkmenistan and in his own name, the head of the state expressed sympathy and support to the bereaved families and wished speedy recovery to the injured, the statement said.

A man drove a stolen beer truck into a crowd of people in a popular shopping district in Stockholm on Friday afternoon and then rammed it into a department store, killing four people and injuring 15 others. The suspect arrested over a deadly terror attack in Stockholm is a 39-year-old dad from Uzbekistan, Swedish police said.

39-year-old Uzbek man, reportedly identified as Rakhmat Akilov, is the main suspect.
