Qatari Sheikh wants to donate $500,000 for Turkmen horse race prizes

AKIPRESS.COM - Sheikh Faisal bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Thani, a member of the Sheikh family of the State of Qatar, congratulated the Turkmen leader on the upcoming Day of the Turkmen Horse.

"This is a truly remarkable holiday embodying the commitment of the fraternal Turkmen people to the ancient traditions of their powerful ancestors," the statement says.

In his message, the Qatari Sheikh asked President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to receive $500,000 for the Turkmenatlary state company to establish horse race prizes, which will be organized in celebration of the Day of Turkmen Horse, reports Turkmenistan Today.

In the context of this activity, which includes various directions, the creation of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding, chaired by the Head of Turkmenistan, the commissioning of new equestrian complexes in all velayats of the country, and the establishment of an international beauty contest among Akhalteke horses, became key events.
