President of Turkmenistan extends condolences to Egypt over deadly church attacks

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed condolences to the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi over the deadly terrorist attacks in the Coptic churches in the cities of Tanta and Alexandria.

“Strongly condemning any kinds of terrorism and extremism, Turkmenistan completely supports the efforts of the global community in fighting and eliminating this evil," the telegram reads.

The President of Turkmenistan conveyed words of deep empathy and support to the bereaved relatives and wished soonest recovery to the injured.

At least 47 people were killed in Egypt in bomb attacks at the cathedral of the Coptic Pope and another church on Palm on April 9. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks.
