Tajikistan, Uzbekistan seek to sign customs cooperation documents

AKIPRESS.COM - The government of Tajikistan at Wednesday's session approved 2 documents on customs cooperation with Uzbekistan, the press service of the Tajik President reported.

The draft protocol on cooperation between customs services of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan proposes mutual assistance in customs issues, information exchange, simplification of customs procedures, exchange of experience, studies and prevention of customs violations.

Another draft protocol between the customs services is aimed at exchange of statistics between the countries, establishing of the real state of bilateral trade, prevention of illegal trafficking of goods, analysis of the real development of economy, development and etc.

The documents are expected to be signed in the near future.
