Ashgabat hosts Turkmen-Palestinian Business Forum

Members of the delegation who arrived in the Turkmen capital was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine Mazen Shamiyan. The Turkmen side was represented by the leaders and representatives of a number of ministries and departments, as well as representatives of private structures took part in the forum.

During the forum, representatives of the Turkmen and Palestinian delegations spoke on the state of national economies and opening up with perspectives that meet the interests of the two countries and peoples. Noting the great interest in establishing full-scale cooperation with Turkmenistan, enjoying high international prestige, the leaders of the companies of Palestine expressed their desire to take an active part in investment projects initiated by Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Then, for the forum participants, a video was shown demonstrating the achievements of Turkmenistan.

Representatives of the Palestinian delegation familiarized the participants of the forum with the general trends of development of their state. Within the framework of the meeting, a video film was also presented, telling about the prospects for doing business in a friendly country.

As an important direction of the Turkmen-Palestinian cooperation, healthcare and the medical industry were named. Among the priority areas of cooperation, the agro-industrial complex was also named. At the same time, great importance is attached to the use of private sector opportunities.

According to the unanimous opinion of the forum participants, the implementation of investment projects will facilitate the deepening of the bilateral partnership. For their part, Turkmen producers are ready to export competitive domestic products to the State of Palestine. Among the promising areas of cooperation were also identified the construction and industry of building materials, engineering, textile and tourism.

A more specific discussion of joint projects and areas of cooperation was held during bilateral meetings between representatives of ministries, departments and the private sector of Turkmenistan with leaders of Palestinian state structures and companies.
